Growing edibles in New Jersey has never been more exciting. Learn about some of the new crops farmers are growing that you can, too! Sorghum, rice, a myriad of peppers, ingredients for numerous ethnic cuisines are all possible. Get some inspiration and some new resources for growing interesting edibles for the 2016 season.

Rachel Weston is a culinary educator, organic gardener, food writer and the author of New Jersey Fresh: Four Seasons from Farm to Table. A native of New Jersey, she is passionate about eating seasonally by growing her own food and supporting local farmers and food producers.
